Association (SSA) Membership
Paragon are approved as members of the Shipbuilders and Shiprepairers
Association (SSA) which represents UK companies engaged in building ships of
all sizes, converting them for other uses, repairing & maintaining them and
ultimately in disposing of them. The membership also includes key industrial
suppliers, essential elements of the maritime supply chain, consultants,
sub-contractors and academics providing and representing a rich diversity of
interests.

Membership of Marine Alliance
"Paragon have become members of the Team Humber Marine Alliance (THMA), made
up of over 60 companies based in the Humber region. Their comprehensive
knowledge and experience in all areas of marine engineering makes THMA
perfectly placed to deliver high quality projects to the international
market in a wide range of sectors, including commercial shipping, inland
waterways, nuclear, offshore and renewable energy.
Members of the Alliance work both independently and in collaborative groups,
giving clients the ability to create bespoke supply networks exactly to
their specification, using the best suppliers for their projects and
allowing clients to work with multiple suppliers under one collective
contract, reducing time and management costs associated with larger
traditional supply chains."

Development of 'Green PC' Chassis
Following four months of design and development Paragon Sheet Metal Division
is now manufacturing a new range of 'sustainable' aluminium 'green PC'
chassis for one of the UK's most environmentally aware computer
manufacturers.

Paragon becomes a member of
Defence Industry consortium
As further proof of the determination to expand into new markets Paragon
Precision Ltd has joined Northern Defence Industries Ltd (NDI), a leading
supply chain network to the Aerospace and Defence industries .
As a member of NDI, Paragon forms part of a cluster of companies that are
recognised as representing an important supply chain capability to the
defence and aerospace industry.

Mike Blasts Through at the Humber Bridge Half Marathon...
Mike Spenceley, a precision
CNC machinist at our toolmaking division ran the Humber Bridge Half Marathon
on Sunday 14th June. Sponsored by family, friends, employees and
Paragon, he has raised a massive £1020 for his chosen charity "Help for
Heroes". Before Mike joined us at Paragon he served 6 years with 42 Commando
Unit as a Royal Marine Commando, he chose the
"Help for Heroes" Charity because he wanted to give something
back to help his injured comrades. In the blistering 22 degree heat
Mike put in an amazing effort and
completed the 13 mile route in 1:39:13mins which placed him 159th
out of 1516 runners "a remarkable achievement for a non professional
runner". On behalf of everyone at Paragon we would just like to congratulate
Mike on his fantastic achievement.

Sheet Metal Division wins against strong Italian
competition
A substantial order for precision engineered sheet metal enclosures has been
won against stiff Italian competition. The order follows a campaign to bring
the manufacture of these items back to the UK following their transfer to an
Italian engineering company. Quality, delivery and value are cited as the
reasons for the success of the bid

Sheet Metal Division supplies energy saving components
Paragon Precision - Sheet Metal Division has completed an initial order for
a Dutch - Sustainable Energy Solutions company, working with the designers
initial samples were developed and final components manufactured that are
incorporated into industrial curing ovens which absorb the heat produced,
capable of producing 1000 litres of water at 50 degrees centigrade per hour.

Tooling Division wins major order
October 08: The Tooling Division of Paragon Precision Ltd has won a
substantial contract to supply press tools to the automotive industry. Won
against stiff competition the award of the contract highlights the value
organisations place on Paragons in depth knowledge and vast experience of
manufacturing press tools.

Major investment in sheet metal processing equipment
Installation of an Amada EML, the most sophisticated combination Punch /
Laser available, has been completed in the Sheet Metal Division of Paragon
Precision Ltd.
The first of its type to be installed in Europe, the Japanese manufactured
system incorporates up or down forming, M3 to M6 thread tapping and comes
complete with a unique 3 metre sheet, TK load / unload system allowing
lights-out operation for larger batches whilst retaining 'one-off'
capability.

Paragon Precision Ltd created from
merger of two companies
Paragon Precision Ltd has been formed by the merger of two existing
engineering companies, Paragon Toolmaking Ltd and Paragon Pressings Ltd. All
three organisations are privately owned and headed by Managing Director,
Carl Canty.
Paragon Toolmaking Ltd was formed in 1969 and has vast experience in the
manufacture and supply of press tools, precision engineered components and
special assemblies.
Paragon Pressings Ltd has been trading since 1987 and has gained a
reputation for delivering quality high precision sheet metal components and
assemblies for a range of industry sectors.
